If you are thinking of buying a home, make sure you know all the facts. Instead of owning the home the home may own you. The market changes and a mortgage agreement is for 20 to 30 years.

Then there is the "rent to own" scam. That is just a way to get more rent than the home is worth. The pitch is to trick you into paying more per month because you are going to own the home. The only way this will be true is with a real honest sale where you get a deed and a legitimate mortgage. Most scams never issue a deed.  They just tell you some of the rents will go towards purchasing the property. This is normally done by shady individuals with charming abilities to make you feel good until you find yourself in their trap. Don't fall for it.
